What Is AviClear?
AviClear is the only FDA-approved energy device used to treat mild to severe acne. The device emits a laser light that is safe for all skin tones and ideal for treating acne breakouts. It targets the sebaceous glands. These glands are responsible for releasing oil, also known as sebum.
Dermatologists point to sebum overproduction as one of the top causes of acne. If the sebum combines with pollution and dead skin cells, these will clog the pores and trigger acne breakouts.
Am I a Good Candidate for AviClear?
The best candidates for AviClear include people with persistent or severe acne who have not seen results despite taking oral medications or applying topical treatments. It can be used on different types of acne and skin tones. It is recommended for people looking for long-term acne treatment.
Your AviClear Consultation
During our consultation, we will discuss your acne concerns. From there, we will provide a customized acne treatment plan based on factors like your skin type, goals, and lifestyle. We will monitor the treatment and its results closely to adjust it as needed.
The AviClear Treatment Session
AviClear uses laser light to target sebaceous glands, preventing them from releasing more oil. This eliminates the root cause of acne without any need for prescription medications. The treatment session usually lasts 30 minutes. Typically, three sessions must be performed four to six weeks apart.
The AviClear device has AviCool™ sensory and skin-cooling controls that keep the skin’s temperature regulated throughout the treatment session for comfort. When the laser energy is emitted, you might feel a snapping sensation that is mild enough not to warrant any pain mitigation.
AviClear has zero downtime or recovery time, so you can return to normal activities after the treatment. Make sure to apply sunblock to protect your skin, which might show minimal irritation and redness for a time.
You can use makeup, but avoid applying any products containing skin irritants, such as those with glycolic acid, benzoyl peroxide, or retinol, for at least a week after getting AviClear.
You can see the results of AviClear at the sixth-month mark, clearing around half of your acne. Results will continue to improve several months after the treatment.
How Much Does AviClear Cost?
The cost of AviClear depends on how many treatment sessions are needed to achieve your acne-treatment goals. You can find out more about the treatment’s price by coming in for a consultation.
